WILL YOU ANSWER HIS CALL?

This week I have learned so much about the importance of obedience while reading 1 Nefi 17:41 this is when it tells of the story in Numbers 21:4-9 about the Lord sending fiery flying serpents to all those wicked people and being humble he prepared a way for them to be healed and all they had to do was look. But because of the simple command they doubted and many perished. This really got me thinking of all the times we as members are asked to do something simple to gain blessing but for some reason we doubt making that simple decision something that we will regret in the future. For instance, missionary work, its simple. Our prophet said now is the time for missionaries and members all over to unite. He has provided the field. It even says the field is white and ready but for some reason we over see this beautiful and simple command. I know we all can build His kingdom, young or old, weak or strong, you have all been called by Him who loves you! WILL YOU ANSWER HIS CALL? I testify that I can truly see when we seek Him and acknowldege that we are nothing without Him, He humbles us to the point that we learn to love not only our trials but the commandments that he places in us. My advice to all of you is to partake of the fruit and rejoice in it like they said in general conference. Don't just taste it, but tuly partake of it and share it with those you love by helping out those missionaries in your ward. And my promise, like a representative of Jesus Christ, is that you will gain higher blessings and that no effort will be lost!

I love the picture of Jesus holding that black sheep!

This week was amazing! How is everyone? Are you taking care of all my little ones?? Make sure you give them lots of chocolate chip cookies from my part! For some reason, I have been thinking of all of you, and the rich blessings I have received, and I can say I am really thankful! I was thinking of my baptism this week, for I have been teaching the restoration and witnessing some amazing people  that have been making covenants with God and its truly wonderful! It has made me think of this scripture in 3Nefi7 verse 21..." there were but few who were converted unto the Lord; but as many as were converted did truly signify..that they had been visited by the power and Spirit of God." It made me think, am I truly converted? And I can say I'm still working on it. I have seen that I am loved by Him enough that he rescued me, cleansed me, and has healed my broken heart into the purification of my soul. That's why I love the picture of Jesus holding that black sheep. It gives me a powerful understanding that we all one day were stained and hurt but through His loving care, we have been cleansed and our garments have been made white, thanks to His atonement. I know it is hard to place the things of the world and its attacks aside, but I also know He can do a marvelous work in the lives of our families. If we only put aside the natural man, like it says in Mosiah3:19 and becometh a saint through the atonement and becometh like a child. I know we can do this!

I love you all and my advice is, enjoy the light that your family brings, and mostly learn from the simple teachings that your kids can give you.

What a joy was this conference!

What a joy, what a blessing, what a way to strengthen us was this conference! I truly felt the love that God gives me through his loyal disciples and our loving Thomas S. Monson!  I love how firm, how soothing, and sincere is his love for all of us. Many people complained about how short his talks had been, but I can say that, like in Nefi, by small things is when we truly see great things happen and that's just him. His words are simple and sweet but it carves deep into the hearts of all who seek a remission of their sins. Its the pure love of God that is transmitted through him that makes him worthy to guide us all. Oh how I love him!

This conference made me see how strong I am. I was listening to others, when I should have been listening to Him that knows me even before I was born. All this time I thought I was weak, but now I know HE BELIEVES IN ME, HE LOVES ME, AND HE CAN RESTORE THE BROKEN PIECES OF MY HEART!  Just by me realizing his celestial purpose as my Celestial Father, I know he can do this for all of you and he can restore us into something beautiful.  For once I was lost, once I was confused, but he took my hand and there I found Him. As a representative of our Lord JESUS CHRIST I can promise all of you if you seek him, if you turn unto him, his arms will surely pull you close to a warm embrace. Don't let the world define the way you should live. Like they said in the conference, we have embarked on a journey back home to leave behind the worldly things and we must not let anything weigh us down!

I love YOU all! I am also proud of the youth, you are my heroes!
